Reaction to CNN Presents “Black In America” featuring Soledad O’Brien has been critical. There is a small group of mostly black male digital media owners who have come together to restore truth and balance to the image of black men and their families. This blog is a founding member. Together we can tell our own story. You want to know what black men think and how we feel about the CNN Special? Read this blog and watch the two videos which are the brainchild of filmmaker Janks Morton, Director of the film “What Black Men Think.”

  1. The woman may have become the tool that they are trying to use to further divide the black family, since she has been holding on for dear life. (Matthew 10:36) Unfortunately, all of us need to learn how the “devil” practices his deception, both black and white. Many do not even understand the correlation between systematic racism and incarceration. Divide and conquer is their motto! Most of us are not familiar with how oppression subtly works. In the Book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 7, verse 7 it says, “For mere oppression may make a wise one act crazy,…” Well, if that is what it says about the wise, what do you think it does to the stupid and the fools of the earth. Economic oppression is an everday occurrence. Capitalism only works for some!

People, when are ya’ll gonna wake up and realize that the “devil” is a liar (John 8:44) and continues to use all sorts of deceptive weapons to keep us hating each other? (1 Peter 5:8 and Revelation 12:12) He is the same “devil” from the beginning and has not changed. One day soon Christ and his Angels will defeat the wicked foe at the battle of Armageddon and God is going to lock satan and his evil spirited demons up for the Thousand Year Reign of Jehovah’s Kingdom. (Revelation 20:1-5) Hold yourselves erect, our deliverance is truly near!

God foretold about the bad times we are experiencing, but did not leave us without hope. Jesus constantly spoke about the kingdom and told his disciples to preach and teach about it as well. (Hebrews 5:12; Also read Matthew 24:14; Matthew 28: 16-20) Matthew Chapter 13 will help you to get a sense of the Kingdom message’s hope!

All of God’s promises have come true, not one has failed. (Romans 3:4, James 1:12 and 2:5) For some it may be too hard to comprehend, but with “spiritual eyes”, you will be able to understand everything. (Proverbs 28:5) Accurate knowledge of the scriptures is essential for knowing what the future holds. (Phillipians 1:9, Colossians 1:9, 1 Timothy 2:4) If you need counsel and direction of how to properly study the word in order to be able to thwart the devil’s burning missles and recognize his many disguises, I suggest that you visit; there you can find out the truth about the bible.

Jesus said since “you received free, give free” at Matthew Chapter 10 verse 8. He also noted that, if you knew the truth it would set you free. (John 8:32) It is time to run the race with endurance people for the time is reduced and expiring rapidly. (Luke 21:19, Romans 15:4) God will help take the blinders off! (2 Corinthians 4:4) Heed the warnings! Study the bible!

As for the propaganda machines that controls the air waves, give them a rest. Get some exercise, ride a bike, go swimming, take a walk, because they are designed to make us upset and confused. If you want to know why God is allowing us to be persecuted and disrespected, the main issue is one of universal sovereignty. I further suggest that you visit your nearest Kingdom Hall to learn more. There you will find brothers and sisters of every race and language all across the globe, in every tribe tongue and nation ready to assist you with free bible studies. No collection plates, no applications and no lies. At 1 John 5:19, it says that “We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one. Embrace your minds for actvity! (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)

  2. Janks, thank God you’re here to refute this BS! When is What Black Men Think part 2 coming out?

  3. Roy Mhofu Says:

Capitalism does indeed work for some, before capitalism, we need socialism, which acknowledges the efforts of individuals without forgetting the rest of society. Unity is our only savior, until such a time as we know that “I” can’t own a Bentley when the price of that Bentley can educate another 200 of my people, we are not going anywhere. Until we know that there is a bigger picture than the individual, we won’t make it. There is a cause and that cause has to be common and rooted in the fundamentals of who we are…Black people! Our leaders have to be examples that inspire the youth. We can not forget where we come from. We must also write our own history and read the same history and dreams as written by us. Shaka Zulu is portrayed as a monster, yet Napoleon as a hero, but who tells us Shaka was a monster? Definitely not Zulu, oh and it’s not Shaka Zulu, it’s King Shaka.

How is it that images of hungry African kids still show them smiling and laughing? There is something about us and I tell you again my people, it lies in unity, our unity, our common purpose. We simply need to learn to sacrifice ourselves if need be for our greater good. While doing that, we can not be naive and believe that they will let that happen. They come in among us and use all sorts of evils to divide us, what we need is the focus and determination to make it and we will. The journey of a thousand miles starts with a first step. Every black man, every black woman is a part of you, hurting any one of them should never be an option. Our destiny is in our hands. To unlock its full potential, we need see beyond our little differences and see a great nation held together by “ubunthu”, the spirit of humanness.

  4. We have to tell our own story. There is no other option. By the way, black men are Buddhist too:

    Lama Rangdrol

  5. Sir, what is this load of crap. I, and the rest of society, should understand that statistics don’t matter. They have and never will matter. The fact is that a large amount of black men are in jail. Whether the CNN info is real or not is sheerly unimportant. Instead of CNN and this website arguing over exact facts, they should both be reinvesting their time to figure out how to solve it. This world is not about pathetic numbers and the mathematicians best friend statistics. It is about trying to remedy a problem not publicize a problem. We need to get it together and stop arguing over futile points that lead to utterlessly useless change
