The first solar calendar was developed by Africans approximately 4,240/41 BCE (Before Common Era) and was aligned with the natural flow of the solar year in the Northern Hemisphere. The calendar used in most parts of the world today was developed in Africa, copied and modified by the Romans. The African American Cultural Center and Museum of Palm Coast is hosting a celebration of the original African New Year on June 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. I found this site by typing,black men, into Google search and immediately added it to my favorites list. Just from skimming over some of its content, I know that as a Black man it has tools that will enhance the quality of my life and those with whom I share some it’s information.

I am joining the band wagon here. I was in a conversation with a fellow classmate at Kennedy King College in Chicago. I typed into a search engine for data to rebut a statement that is a common consciousness of some young men in our inner city. Your blog gave me a 101 lesson in which I stated my view intelligently & factual. For that I am grateful. I will continue to visit here & pass good thoughts of information onto my younger generations here in Chicago.
